Yes, the federal government is extremely strict in regard to the format and content of the documentation requested. If there should be any error in the documentation submitted, the application will be rejected and, if desired, the candidate must restart the process from the beginning, with no guarantee that will be invited again.

If a candidate makes a mistake considered as “misrepresentation” in the documents and / or forms submitted, he/she may not be able to reapply for a period of 5 years.  As such, in light of this possible 5-year penalty, even in the event an innocent “misrepresentation” from a candidate’s part, it is primordial that the candidate counts solid counsel and guidance.

No, Quebec has its own program for permanent residence based on different selection criteria.

No, your Express Entry Profile will be used to assess your eligibility for all three streams. Creating multiple profiles is not allowed and will not increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply.

Yes, every candidate must take a recognized third party language test and submit the results from that test. The recognized English test are CELPIP-General and IELTS and the recognized French test is the TEF.

Depends. If you were found ineligible, you must resubmit a profile. If you were found eligible, you can update you profile online.

Yes, your Express Entry Profile expires if you do not received an Invitation to Apply within 12 months.

The system will send you an Invitation to Apply from one stream, depending on which stream you qualified for. You cannot choose which program you apply under. If you decline the invitation from one program, you will not receive an Invitation to Apply under the next program.
